Tryout scoring

Every family gets its own tryout report

Evaluators score player numbers on their phones. You see the ranks with each player's evaluator spread, place them on teams, and publish. Each family scans the code on their slip and sees only their own child's report.

Free, with private family reports for every player. No child's name is ever stored.

A sample family report, as a parent sees it on their phone.

Three steps on the day

  1. Numbers. Add your age groups and player numbers, like 1-40, and print a code slip for each family. Keep the number-to-name sheet on paper: Tryoutpad never asks for a name.
  2. Evaluators score by link. Send each evaluator a private link. They tap a number, then 1 to 5 for each criterion. No account, and no lost scores when the signal drops: unsent scores wait on the phone.
  3. Publish the reports. Close scoring, check the Board, place players, then publish. Each family opens one report: the average per criterion, how many evaluators scored their child, and your next steps.

The scoring rules, with a worked example, are on how scores are combined. What is stored and for how long is on the privacy page, and the FAQ covers names, reports, rubrics and signal at the field. Paper backups are on the printables page.
